Eco Research participated in the project “ARIANNA ESTATE BOLZANO”, an activity for children from 6 to 11 years old organised by UPAD Bolzano in summer 2023. In particular, on 27 July 2023, some Eco Research researchers carried out playful and informative activities with the children on the theme of using isotopic analysis for the traceability of quality food products.
In a workshop entitled ‘Discovering the Lost Origin’, the children learned what isotopes are and the importance of some of them in establishing the geographical origin of an agro-forestry product. They were then able to ‘put into practice’ what they had learned and try their hand at ‘research’ through two games to recognise the origin of apples, cereals, wood and grapes.
