On 14 February 2024, Eco Research met with the children of the “ARIANNA CARNEVALE” project, an activity for children aged 6 to 11 years organised by the UPAD Bolzano Foundation in the week of Carnival 2024.
In particular, researchers and collaborators from Eco Research proposed a workshop entitled “The invisible challenge: let’s clean the air”. The children present were able to learn how to identify the pollutants that can be found in the air we breathe inside buildings (also in our homes and classrooms), their effects on our health and the main sources of release of these pollutants, to see one of the scientific instruments used to measure the substances in the air around us in action, but also to learn about those daily actions and new habits that can make a big difference in improving air quality and preserving a healthy living environment.
The children participated with great interest and asked many questions, and particularly enjoyed the games and information materials created ad hoc by Eco Research on this specific topic.
