The third edition of the Italian Knowledge Leaders took place on 5 December 2023: the event that enhances Italian excellence in the academic, medical, cultural and scientific fields, recognising them as valuable references for the intellectual growth of the country and the international convention market. The event took place in Rome in the Sala della Protomoteca of the Campidoglio and was organised by Convention Bureau Italia together with Enit – Agenzia Nazionale del Turismo, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism. Speakers included representatives from national institutions and trade associations, as well as Convention Bureau Italia member organisations.
About forty
Presidents of international associations were also in the room, thirty of whom
were attending the event for the first time and were awarded as Italian
Knowledge Leaders (ambassadors of Italian knowledge in the world). Among
them was also Dr. Werner Tirler, director of Eco Research, who was honored
following the assignment to Eco Research of the organization of the 46th
edition of the International Dioxin Symposium, which will take place in
September 2026 at the Riva del Garda Convention Center.
The initiative not only focused on Italian intellectual capital, but also sought to further strengthen the collaboration between institutions, industry and universities. Once again, the value of the conference activity emerged, which allows knowledge to be imported that benefits the local scientific community. A true virtuous cultural circle.
