The letter delivered to Director Werner Tirler on September 14, 2023, filled the entire staff and management with joy and pride: the International Advisory Board (IAB) of the International Symposia on Halogenated Persistent Organic Pollutants announced that Eco Research’s application to host the forty-sixth edition of the International Dioxin Symposium – Dioxin2026 had been accepted.”
“The assignment of organizing this important international scientific event was achieved thanks to the chosen partner of Eco Research, namely the Riva del Garda Fierecongressi Center. This partner will not only provide a location perfectly suited for an event of such magnitude, set in a context of rare beauty, but also, and above all, contribute its own experience and professionalism in organizing international conferences.
The organizing committee for the Dioxin2026 event will consist of members of the International Advisory Board (IAB), including Dr. Tirler (who will be part of the IAB from 2024 to 2028), and Eco Research as the local representative. Eco Research will also benefit from the support of the agency Riva del Garda Fierecongressi Spa.
The Dioxin2026 event is scheduled to take place in September 2026 over a duration of 5 days. The rich program includes plenary lectures, numerous sessions of scientific conferences and poster presentations, an exhibition area dedicated to sponsors, as well as an extensive side program featuring gala dinners and socialization moments, excursions, and cultural tours. The participation of approximately a thousand delegates from around the world, including leading international figures in persistent organic pollutant research, is expected.”
